With academic and professional roots in urban education, my research interests fall under the umbrella of organizational leadership. My recent publications, presentations and workshops have focused on my specific areas of study, namely:
1. Sustainable District and School Reform 2. Culturally Proficient Organizational Leadership 3. Ethical Leadership in Diverse Educational Settings
Professional experiences include: university faculty, school administrator, literacy coach and teacher. Recent workshops include: cultural proficiency initiatives; culturally relevant practices; planning, implementation and sustainability of professional learning communities; and, a variety of topics related to cultural proficiency, such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, faith, language, and ability.
